Is marijuana legal in Wisconsin?
Marijuana is illegal for recreational or medical use in Wisconsin. There is growing support for legalizing medical marijuana in the state, but it doesn’t look like it will happen in 2020.
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is a strong proponent of legalizing medical marijuana. Senator Jon Erpenbach and Senator Jennifer Shilling support Governor Evers’s push for medical marijuana in the state.
Republicans including Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald remain opposed to any marijuana legalization, despite broad support from residents.
CBD oil was made legal in 2014 for a very limited set of medical conditions.
